Abstract
⺠The 'venomes' of two viperid species from Taiwan are reported. ⺠Metallo- and serine proteinases, and PLA2s were the most abundant components. ⺠Horses developed variable immune responses against P. mucrosquamatus venom. ⺠Variability is due to differences in the neutralization of a neurotoxic PLA2.
