Abstract
⺠Characterization of unusual truncated N-linked glycosylations of highly purified proteinase 3 (PR3). ⺠Characterization of a novel strong association of PR3 with granulocyte α-defensins and oligomers hereof. ⺠Proteins from neutrophil granules but not serum proteins were found to be associated with defensins. ⺠Role of PR3 glycosylation and its interplay with α-defensins in host defence and autoimmunity.
