Abstract
The infrared spectra (3700-500Â cmâ1) have been recorded for kaolinite obtained from the Baten El-Ghoul region/south Jordan. The spectra were recorded for raw and dried samples, using KBr disk and nujol methods. The vibrational assignments of the basic fundamental modes were proposed, which were supported by the spectra obtained from the two methods used. The results obtained were compared with other related studies.
