Abstract
⺠SMI was applied to an environmental dataset containing missing values. ⺠The technique was used on both rounded and essential zeros. ⺠SMI uses a relatively simple procedure, without distorting the data as a whole. ⺠As a result, standard and multivariate statistical analyses could be applied to the data. ⺠SMI is suitable for environmental research to deal with natural datasets.
