Abstract
► Wetland plant abundance and richness were not reduced by a partial drawdown. ► Rather, wetland plant species richness was actually enhanced by a partial drawdown. ► Thus, wetlands could be used as intermediary storages to meet agricultural needs. ► Using wetlands as intermediary storages may also help to maintain ecological values.
