Abstract
⺠Highly ordered C60 monolayers are demonstrated on ferromagnetic Fe(0 0 1) surfaces. ⺠These monolayers exhibit a quasi-hexagonal arrangement of molecules. ⺠Strong substrate-molecule interactions play a dominant role in overlayer growth. ⺠C60 multilayers are (1 1 1)-textured on Fe(0 0 1), mismatch between monolayer- and bulk lattices prevents in-plane epitaxy.
