Abstract
⺠We semi-analytically calculate the transport properties of DNA molecules. ⺠We use a tight binding Hamiltonian, based on the Green's function formalisms. ⺠We calculate the I-V characteristics, the Shot noise and the Fano factor of DNA. ⺠Our results show different transport regimes as a function of the coupling intensities. ⺠The DNA molecules exhibit metal-semiconductor transitions in good agreement with experimental results.
