Abstract
► We semi-analytically calculate the transport properties of DNA molecules. ► We use a tight binding Hamiltonian, based on the Green's function formalisms. ► We calculate the I-V characteristics, the Shot noise and the Fano factor of DNA. ► Our results show different transport regimes as a function of the coupling intensities. ► The DNA molecules exhibit metal-semiconductor transitions in good agreement with experimental results.
