Abstract
⺠p-nitrophenol can be effectively degraded using sonophotocatalytic oxidation. ⺠Acidic conditions, lower concentration and optimum amount of photocatalyst are beneficial. ⺠Use of optimum loading of hydrogen peroxide or Fenton chemistry results in intensification. ⺠Reactor design based on large transducer surface area is suitable for pilot scale operation.
