Ni cermet solid oxide fuel cell anodes prepared from nanoparticle Y2O3―CeO2―ZrO2 solid solutions

► Nanoparticle Y2O3―CeO2―ZrO2 solid solution was obtained by the glycothermal method. ► The performance for the cells increased with an increase in CeO2 contents. ► CeO2 component suppressed coke deposition on the Ni catalyst. ► Preparation of the anode from the Y2O3―CeO2―ZrO2 solid solution is effective.
