Abstract
⺠Synthesis of new dialkylated derivatives of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] using alkyl bromides RC(O)CH2Br. ⺠Structure of [Pt2{μ-SCH2C(O)Ph}2(PPh3)4](PF6)2 shows Ptâ¯OC interactions. ⺠Presence of Ptâ¯OC interactions related to stability towards replacement of PPh3 by Brâ ions. ⺠Structures of [Pt2{μ-SCH2C(O)Ph}(μ-SR)(PPh3)3Br]PF6 (R = Et, n-Bu) reported.
