Abstract
⺠In Ag exchanged zeolites, Ag+ cations may be the catalytically active species. ⺠Such species may form η2 hydrides and activate the H-H bond. ⺠Similar results are predicted for the corresponding gas phase species. ⺠Our results agree very well with inelastic neutron scattering experiments.
