Abstract
⺠We have synthesized the two new Zn(II) phosphonates with layered and 3D framework structures by the mixed-solvothermal reaction. ⺠The dimethylamine (dma), a decomposition product of DMF, acts as structure-directing agents and charge-compensating cation. ⺠Zinc has been shown to be a useful metal center in the construction of metal phosphonates. ⺠The two compounds are a good candidate for luminescent material.
