Abstract
Three novel polymers of [2.2]paracyclophane(pcp) with in situ silver(I) perfluoro-dicarboxylates were synthesized and characterized. Complex 1 is constructed by pcp bridging columnar silver-anion chains. Complex 2 shows 3D pillared-layer structure in which disilver salts form 2D sheets and pcp act as pillars. Whereas complex 3 is 2-fold interpenetrated diamond structure. The effects of the dicarboxylate spacers and their conformations as well as the solvents on the formation of complexes are discussed.
