Abstract
Fe(II) and Ni(II) complexes of arylazoimidazoles are described as their thiocyanato derivatives. Iron(II) forms bis-chelated cis-(NCS)2 monomer, while nickel(II) gives monochelated trans-(NCS)2, cis-(H2O)2 hydrogen bonded dimer with DMF. The hydrogen bonded dimer unit of nickel complex undergoes Ï-Ï interaction forming a 3D supramolecule.
