Abstract
Diiron and diruthenium aminocarbyne complexes containing pseudohalide ligands (i.e., NCSâ, NCOâ, N3â) have been obtained by nitrile replacement; both cis and trans isomers can be formed depending on the reaction temperature and trans to cis isomerisation is observed at high temperature. The terminal azido ligand undergoes 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions with alkynes and fumaronitrile, affording new dinuclear triazolato complexes.
