Abstract
A novel asymmetric bidentate bridging ligand btpb and its mono- and dinuclear polypyridine ruthenium(II) complexes were synthesized and characterized. Binding behavior of the complexes Rubtpb and Ru2btpb with calf thymus DNA was investigated by absorption spectra, equilibrium dialysis experiments and viscosity measurements.
