Abstract
In the crystal lattice of the chloride-tetrachloroferrate(III) salt of protonated isonicotinic acid, interactions of the chloroferrate with its environment appear to be weak compared to those of other halometallates in related complexes, while the other components of the lattice are involved in competitive Ï-stacking and hydrogen-bonding interactions.
