Abstract
⺠Exchange of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4MoO2(OMe)]+ with alcohols and water has been explored, using ESI MS. ⺠These studies led to the dimolybdenum complex [{Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4MoO2}2O]2+, which has a substantially bent Mo-O-Mo unit. ⺠The structure of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4MoO2(OMe)]+ was also determined. ⺠The [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] metalloligand stabilizes five-coordinate Mo in these complexes.
