Abstract
⺠Two new pyridylpyrazole containing complexes [M(NCO)(L)]2(PF6)2, where M = Ni(II) (1) and Cu(II) (2) have been reported. ⺠Coordination mode of cyanate ligand is end-to-end for complex 1 whereas it is end-on for complex 2. ⺠Magnetic susceptibility data (2-300 K) show weak antiferromagnetic interaction (J = â6.2 cmâ1) for complex 1. ⺠Complex 2 has very weak ferromagnetic interaction (J = +0.5 cmâ1). ⺠Weak antiferromagnetic property of complex 1 has been explained by MO calculations.
