Abstract
[PtCl2(PhCN)2] reacts with a series of thioethers capable of giving metalation to afford the corresponding [PtCl2(RSRâ²)2] complexes. Their reactivity upon Clâ/OAcâ exchange with silver acetate shows a complex pattern, which depends on the nature of the thioether.
