Stereosensitive formation and interconversion of sulfur-bridged cobalt(III)-mercury(II) polynuclear complexes with d- and/or l-penicillaminates

The S-bridged CoIIIHgII and CoIIIHgIICoIII complexes containing the bis(d- and/or l-penicillaminate)cobaltate(III) unit(s) were synthesized and characterized on the basis of X-ray structural analyses, electronic absorption, CD, and NMR spectra. The obtained heteropolynuclear complexes indicated stereosensitive formation and interconversion.
