Abstract
Two new copper(II) halide complexes [Cu(L)Br], [Cu(L)Cl] have been synthesized containing a new tridentate N2O-donor ligand. In the solid state, both compounds adopt a one-dimensional structure built up via Ï-Ï interactions. The EPR and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that no magentic exchange interactions occur between the copper ions.
