Abstract
The reaction of [ZnLI,II2] (LIÂ =Â [NH2C(S)NP(O)(OiPr)2]â; LIIÂ =Â [PhNHC(S)NP(O)(OiPr)2]â) or [Cd2LIV4] (LIVÂ =Â [PhC(S)NP(O)(OiPr)2]â) with 2,2â²-bipyridine (bpy) or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) leads to the heteroligand complexes [Zn(bpy)LI,II2], [Zn(phen)LI,II2], [Cd(bpy)LIV2] or [Cd(phen)LIV2], respectively. The reaction of [Zn(phen)LIV2] (LIVÂ =Â PhC(S)NP(O)(OiPr)2â) with CH2Cl2 cleaves the chlorine atoms from CH2Cl2 and leads to the formation of [Zn(phen)LIVCl] and LIV-CH2-LIV.
