Abstract
Reaction pathways are investigated by quantum-mechanical procedures for the hydrolysis process of the methyl acetate ester, catalyzed by a Zinc(II) macrocycle complex. Results are discussed in the light of kinetic data obtained for a closely related system and possible generalizations are outlined.
