Abstract
The dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP) promotes the reaction between [Os(bpy)2(CO)(OTf)]OTf (1) (where OTf=CF3SO3-) and methylene chloride leading to [Os(bpy)2(CO)(Cl)]OTf (2). The reactivity and redox properties of 1 were investigated by means of room- and low-temperature electrochemical experiments in CH2Cl2.
