Abstract
⺠Ferrocenyltriazolyl- and biferrocenyl dendrimers were synthesized and fully characterized. ⺠Ferrocenyl dendrimers show a single cyclic voltammetry wave due to equivalence of all the ferrocenyl groups. ⺠Cyclic voltammetry allows selective recognition of oxo-anions and transition-metal cations. ⺠In biferrocenyl dendrimers, the outer ferrocenyl groups are oxidized more easily than the inner ones. ⺠In biferrocenyl dendrimers, the outer ferrocenyl groups recognize oxo-anions whereas the inner ones recognize metal cations.
