Abstract
⺠(E)-2-(2-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)hydrazono)-1-phenylbutane-1,3-dione (H2L) crystallizes from ethanol-water in the monohydrate hydrazone form. ⺠The copper(II) complex with H2L was isolated in the solid state and found to be a polymer with a binuclear core. ⺠The stability constants of the copper(II) complex with H2L were determined being higher than with 1-phenylbutane-1,3-dione.
