Abstract
The chlorodimethylsilyl ligands in Os(SiMe2Cl)Cl(CO)(PPh3)2 and Os(SiMe2Cl)(κ2-S2CNMe2)(CO)(PPh3)2 undergo hydrolysis to Os(SiMe2OH)Cl(CO)(PPh3)2 and Os(SiMe2OH)(κ2-S2CNMe2)(CO)(PPh3)2, respectively, which in turn can be deprotonated by tBuLi to give silanolate complexes which react with Me3 SiCl and Me3SnCl to give osmadisiloxane and osmastannasiloxane complexes.
