Abstract
Addition of Cu to the nickel matrix is available for a cheaper cost of anode with keeping a same current efficiency for NF3 formation as that on the Ni anode and addition of Si to the nickel matrix is effective for decreasing anode consumption largely: current efficiency for NF3 information and anode consumption of Ni-5Â mol% Cu alloy anode are 63.91% (Ni anode: 62.84%) and 3.43% (Ni anode: 3.54%), respectively. Anode consumption of Ni-5Â mol% Si alloy anode is only 0.18%.
