Abstract
Single-tail fluorocarbon surfactant bearing a lactobionate moiety as counterion, spontaneously forms vesicles in aqueous solution. This original behaviour could be attributed to the small size of the polar head and the asymmetric distribution of the counterion on either side of the bilayer.
