Abstract
The enzyme mimic is a trifunctional enzyme analogue which displays similar synergistic catalytic activities to those of GPX, SOD and CAT. Mn(III)2(L-Se-SO3Na) therefore has potential pharmaceutical applications. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first time that three antioxidant enzyme activities have been combined in a single small-molecule analogue.
