Abstract
Aqueous solutions of a Cu(II)-phthalocyanine based reactive dye were decolourized by the soybean peroxidase/H2O2 system at different pH values. A fast and complete decolourization was observed at acidic pH with the production of sulfophthalimide as principal product and the release of stoichiometric amount of ammonium and Cu(II) ions.
