Abstract
In the monomeric metallacycles AlX2C(SiMe3)2(SiMe2C5H4N-2) (X = Cl or Me), the pyridyl nitrogen is coordinated to aluminium. The metallacycle GaBr(OH)C(SiMe3)2(SiMe2C5H4N-2) has a similar structure. The indium compounds [InCl(μ-X)C(SiMe3)2(SiMe2C5H4N-2)]2 (X = Cl or OH) crystallise together as a homogeneous white solid.
