Structurally-characterized bis(cyclopentadienyl)molybdenum(IV) thiolate complexes are reported, including the hydrate Mo(η-C5H5)2(SCH2CH2O) · 4.5H2O, which forms crystals containing double layers of organometallic molecules seperated by layers of water.
