Study of the reactivity of palladacycles containing [C(sp2, ferrocene),N,S]− or [C(sp3),N,S]− terdentate ligands with symmetric alkynes

The reactions of the cyclopalladated compounds [Pd{[(η5-C5H3)CHN-(C6H4-2SMe)]Fe(η5-C5H5)}Cl] and [Pd{(2-CH2-4,6-Me2-C6H2)-CHN-(C 6H4-2SMe)}Cl], containing a [C(sp2, ferrocene),N,S]− and a [C(sp3),N,S]− terdentate ligand, respectively, with the alkynes: R1-CC-R1 (with R1 = CO2Me, Ph or Et) under different experimental conditions are reported.
