Abstract
The first quasi-binary rare-earth dicyanamides have been obtained and structurally elucidated by ab initio X-ray powder diffraction methods, IR and Raman spectroscopy. The compounds Ln[N(CN)2]3 with Ln=La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, and Eu are isotypic and their crystal structure resembles that of the PuBr3 structure type.
