Abstract
⺠Leaf essential oil of Myrtaceae species from Brazilian southeastern Atlantic forest. ⺠Cadinane-type sesquiterpenes predominated in Eugenia copacabanensis, trans-Caryophyllene in Eugenia acutata and guaiol-cadinol isomers in Eugenia candolleana. α-Bisabolene constituted 80% of Myrcia splendens leaf oil. ⺠Chemical data and phylogenetic relationships between Myrtaceae genera and species.
