Abstract
⺠Detection of recombination events in the genome of Citrus tristeza virus and Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3. ⺠Numerous members of the genera Ampelovirus, Closterovirus, and Crinivirus were under positive selection. Nonetheless, investigated Citrus tristeza virus isolates were under purifying selection. ⺠The topology of the constructed tree showed that each genus was constituted by viruses gathered into two distinct clades. Based on these results, a possible reclassification of the family Closteroviridae should be considered.
