Abstract
⺠Roots of Lactuca altaica yielded a wide array of sesquiterpenoids. ⺠The plant material was rich in the germacranolide lactuside A. ⺠The composition of the sesquiterpenoids suggests close similarity of Lactuca altaica to Lactuca sativa.
