Abstract
Transfer of the γ-phosphoryl group from ATP to aminoglycoside antibiotics by aminoglycoside 3â²-phosphotransferases is one of the most important reactions for manifestation of bacterial resistance to this class of antibiotics. This review article surveys the latest structural and mechanistic findings with these enzymes.
