Abstract
⺠Cellulose and lignin in mangrove wood are quantified by using FTIR spectroscopy. ⺠Lignin to cellulose ratio ranges between 0.21 and 1.75 in mangrove wood. ⺠Mangrove wood density increases with increase in cellulose and decrease in lignin. ⺠Variation of carbon stock in mangrove is positively related to its wood density. ⺠Mangrove with high density exhibits higher range of fuel value index.
