Abstract
⺠Malic, citric and tartaric acids were added in starch/PBAT blends. ⺠Mechanical and barrier properties were improved when the acids were added. ⺠Changes in relative humidity increased the elongation of films and made them fragile. ⺠More homogeneous structure was observed for the samples with citric and tartaric acids. ⺠The produced films could be an alternative for non-biodegradable plastics.
