Abstract
⺠Dalbergia sissoo leaves are extensively used in traditional medicine for cure of diseases. ⺠Pure polysaccharide was isolated in 15% yield from the leaves. ⺠Monosaccharides composition and their ratios were determined. ⺠The complete structure of the polysaccharide was elucidated based on methylation, periodate oxidation and spectroscopic analysis as follows.
