Abstract
⺠Novel exopolysaccharide, rhamnogalactan with Mw â¼Â 1.87 Ã 105 Da. ⺠Structure elucidates by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and GLC-MS. ⺠TEM showed that EPS have a diameter of 1 nm and melting temp 172-178 °C. ⺠EPS exhibits anti inflammatory activity; 1000 μg/ml of EPS protects 55% of erythrocytes. ⺠100 μg/ml of EPS protects about 56% of mast cells from degranulation by Compound 48/80.
