Abstract
⺠Water soluble CMC samples could be prepared from rice straw. ⺠The D.S. depends on the concentration of the etherifying agent. ⺠Pastes prepared from these derivatives are pseudo plastic. ⺠Thickeners for different printing styles were prepared from Egyptian rice straw.
