Abstract
⺠A clear resin-embedded section for analysis of the fine inner structure of starch granules was obtained. ⺠The effects of sectioning and water in the section were studied by AFM and SEM. ⺠We found that wrinkles, expansions and depressions were formed on the section surface during sectioning. ⺠We were able to observe clear inner structure of the starch granule.
