Abstract
► Edible films were successfully functionalized as color antioxidant food packaging. ► The antioxidant activity of edible films was stable over 20 days of photo-ageing. ► Films surface color was changed after 20 days of continuous light exposure. ► Light transmission of films was observed to be changed during photo-ageing. ► Natural plant extract showed an ability to protect polymer matrix against photo-degradation.
