Abstract
⺠Bacterial cellulose-montmorillonite composites for biomedical applications were prepared by impregnation method. ⺠FE-SEM, FTIR and XRD analyses confirmed the formation of the composites. ⺠Effects of concentration of montmorillonite and operating temperature was determined. ⺠Mechanical and thermal properties of composites were significantly improved. ⺠Water holding capacity was decreased while water release rate was enhanced in the view point of biomedical application.
