Abstract
⺠Preparation of a new starch-based wood adhesive which can be used at room temperature. ⺠Grafted reaction of starch with VAc is a potential method to make this adhesive. ⺠The optimum shear strengths of this adhesive is 4.30 MPa in the dry state. ⺠The most economic starch/monomer ratio is 1:1.2 (w/w).
