Abstract
⺠The first application of direct potentiometry for the starch origin determination. ⺠The use of platinum redox electrode to measure decreases in the free triiodide ion after its complexation into a starch-triiodide complex. ⺠The use of principal components data analysis (PCA) for modeling the relationships between different electrochemical potential response data according to the starch type in starch-triiodide complex. ⺠The more convenient, simpler, easier and less expensive method for determination of botanical starch origin than the usualy used microscopic methods.
